WHEN: Sunday September 16th  (from 4PM -6PM)

WHERE: Labrador Friendship Centre multi purpose room.

WHY: Our lawyer for Labrador Land Protectors and Grand Riverkeeper Labrador in respect of the Public Inquiry and Forensic Audit of the Muskrat Falls Project, Caitlin Urquhart, is sponsoring an update on the Inquiry hearings set to begin in HVGB on Monday, Sept 17th. And we will be presenting the latest draft of the PAPER that LLP and GRK were asked to submit to the Commission and will be cross examined on at the hearings (October 10th and 11th, in St. John’s) as well as asking for final input from attendees.

This hearing and our PAPER covers issues up to and including the Sanctioning of the Project by the NL Government which happened on December 17, 2012.(PHASE 1) Issues we were involved in… concerns we brought forward to Nalcor and the Governments of NL and the Federal Government, any interactions we had with Government, and Nalcor and any responses we received as a result of our concerns. We welcome any input you can provide at this get together in order to finalize the PAPER and submit it to the Commission of Inquiry. (Phase 2 will cover all activity beyond sanction, i.e. the Construction phase of the Project.)

Supper will be provided and catering will be by the Labrador Friendship Centre.

We realize that many reading this are “from away” however we want to update you on our activities… but are sincerely wishing you could be here. Hoping to see many of you and if you know someone who is interested that we have not messaged, please feel free to invite them along.
